Do You Love Me Sessions (Spring 1989)
Do You Love Me
Dive
Here's the only studio recordings of Nirvana with their second guitarist Jason Everman. In fact, this is the ONLY studio recordings of Nirvana with ANY second guitarist. Proof that Everman sucks with Nirvana. "Do You Love Me" was released on a Kiss tribute album, "Dive" was released in 2004 on With The Lights Out.

The Jury Sessions (August 20, 1989)
Where Did You Sleep Last Night?
Grey Goose
Ain't It a Shame
They Hung Him on a Cross
The Jury was a studio-only band made up of Mark Lenegan on lead vocals, Kurt on Guitar and vocals, Krist on bass, and drums by some guy named Mark Pickerel (I think he was the drummer from Screaming Trees, Lenegan's band.) "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" was released on Mark Lenegan's solo album. The others were released on With The Lights Out.

Blew EP Sessions (September 1989)
Stain
Been a Son
Token Eastern Song
Polly
Even In His Youth
The Blew EP is basically a single for "Blew," easily one of Nirvana's early greats. This was a great session. "Stain" was also released on Incesticide and this version of "Been a Son" was also released on Nirvana, the hits collection of 2003. The other three were given the light of day on With The Lights Out.

1st John Peel Sessions (October 26, 1989)
About a Girl
Love Buzz
Polly
Spank Thru
The first of 3 John Peel Sessions. Peel was a hugely influential British Radio DJ. These songs were never released, but were played over the air.

VPRO, Dutch Radio Sessions (November 1, 1989)
Love Buzz
About a Girl
Dive
The master tapes of this radio session have "disappeared" according to the station!

Down In The Dark Sessions (December 1989)
Down in the Dark
Kurt added backing vocals to this Mark Lenegan song. It was released on Lenegan's solo cd.

This chronology is in no way complete, and is based on my own stash of Nirvana recordings (although I've got tons more live stuff than just what's on these few pages.) Material I have in one form or another is in Gold. Material I'm missing is in white.
